IDT is the country’s finest Art & Design institute with many aspiring designers
passing out every year. Design education is a fast changing and dynamic space where
there is no boundaries to be challenged. The only way to measure up to the challenge
is to fortify potentially aspiring students with sound knowledge base which is not
only engaging but also challenging and relevant. Coming from the textile background
and having faced the dearth of creative professionals in the industry was my primary
motive to start up an institute which forms a strong foundation for students in
mere future into designing industry that can add on to Surat which is the Textile
capital of India. Other than Fashion; Interior is also one common thing among people
of Surat. For hardcore exposure of houses, offices, boutiques or so on they equip
variety of designs to conquer the hearts of Surat. Design is a field that can highlight
in various forms in and out of Surat. Developing innovative styles into the floor
or given space induce the Smart city venture of Surat.
I strongly believe that Fashion is not the tidal wave that passes on in the vibe,
but also is the presence of Interior; in fact it is very much in the core of our
existence. Design belongs to a transient moment in history continuously evolving
and is characterized by a twofold thrust harnessing available and indigenous human,
material and technological resources on one hand and aligning itself with global
trend and influences on the other hand.
IDT (Institute of Design & Technology) was a brainchild, conceived from the need
of the hour to develop the think tanks in the field of design, technology and business.
IDT does not compromise on its infrastructure and facilities. IDT boasts of excellent
state of art infrastructure which is upgraded each year with latest technologies
to make every student aware of latest know how while giving the best output. IDT
not only believes in providing the platform to the aspiring designers but also to
