  • Basics of fabric manufacturing techniques for Weaving, Knitting, Non-woven and Braided
  • Details of weaving machines available for manufacturing of different varieties of Fabrics
  • Dobby Mechanism
  • Jacquard Mechanism
  • Principles of working of different instruments used for Testing of fabrics

Module: 4(Fabric Structure-16 weeks)

  • Basics of different weaves and their analysis
  • General idea regarding Design, Draft, Peg Plan & denting
  • Fabric classification & weave notation, Plain Weave, Twill weave & its derivatives, Satin & Sateen weaves
  • Fancy weaves such as Mock leno, Huck-a-Back, Honey comb, Crepe, etc.

Module: 5(Fabric Designing using CAD-12 weeks)

  • Changes in fabric weave using Tappet Shedding Mechanism
  • Changes in fabric weave using Dobby Shedding Mechanism
  • Changes in fabric weave using Jacquard Shedding Mechanism
  • Surface Ornamentation of fabrics– Printed Designs & Embroidered Design
